Series K

Cable grips

Cable grips come in two lengths and are used for lighter cable pulling. The two mesh lengths make the grips suitable for both installation cable and optical cable.

Used for pulling installation cable and fibre optic cable.

The grips must not be used for lifting. This applies to every model in the range.

KE: Cable grip, single eye

  • Braided from single tempered galvanised wire
  • Pulling eye with soft wire rope

KE is a series of cable grips for lighter cable pulling, well suited to work such as the installation of sensitive cable. The series comes in two lengths, where the longer version works well for pulling fibre optic cable.

Reservations about breaking strength

BS is the average of measured breaking strengths for new, unused grips. The breaking strength varies with the material, shape and diameter of the object the grip is fitted to, and the variation can reach 25 percent. Pulling grips should never be loaded above 1/3 of BS and support grips never above 1/5 of BS. More about breaking strength and safety factor
