Series T

Strain relief grips

Strain relief grips prevent fatigue and wear in cable and hose attachments that are exposed to cyclic stress. The grip also works as a heavy duty support grip.

Used as strain relief at motor connections and cable drums.

The grips must not be used for lifting. This applies to every model in the range.

How to read the tables

  • The mesh length is given at nominal diameter.
  • The eye length is given for an unloaded eye.
  • BS is the breaking strength, given in kilograms.
  • The weight is given in kilograms.

Reservations about breaking strength

BS is the average of measured breaking strengths for new, unused grips. The breaking strength varies with the material, shape and diameter of the object the grip is fitted to, and the variation can reach 25 percent. Pulling grips should never be loaded above 1/3 of BS and support grips never above 1/5 of BS. More about breaking strength and safety factor
