Pulling grips come in a wide range of variants and are used above all for pulling cable. Pulling grips also work well for pipe and wire rope.
Used as an aid for pulling cable, wire rope, fibre optic cable and pipe. Pulling grips are also called cable socks or wire mesh grips.
The grips must not be used for lifting. This applies to every model in the range.
DE: Pulling grip, single eye
Braided from double tempered galvanised wire

Single pulling eye with soft wire rope eye (or pressed thimble)
DE is a series of pulling grips intended mainly for cable pulling. They also work well for wire rope and pipe. With two mesh lengths the DE model covers a very wide range of applications. DE is fitted with a soft wire rope eye and can also be supplied with a pressed thimble.

Multi pulling grip for pulling three cables at the same time
Single pulling eye with soft wire rope
DE3 is a series of multi pulling grips for pulling three cables at the same time. A multi pulling grip suits work where several cables are pulled at once but cannot all be placed in one cable grip. DE3 is made of double galvanised wire and fitted with a soft wire rope eye at the top. A DE3 grip can be extended to a DE4 when required.

DD is a series of pulling grips with double eyes of soft wire rope, suited to pulling several cables at the same time. Since the model is open at the eye, the grip can be moved along as the cable is pulled through. The model can be fitted with pressed thimbles when required.

DS is a series of pulling grips with a side mounted strap and a soft wire rope eye. Since the model is open, the grip can be moved along the cable. The pulling machine therefore does not have to be moved as the cable is pulled through.

DSO is a series of pulling grips with a side mounted strap and a soft wire rope eye. Since the model is open, it can be moved along as the cable is pulled through. The grip has a split mesh that is closed with lacing wire.

DSO Long: dimensions, breaking strength and weight
BS is the average of measured breaking strengths for new, unused grips. The breaking strength varies with the material, shape and diameter of the object the grip is fitted to, and the variation can reach 25 percent. Pulling grips should never be loaded above 1/3 of BS and support grips never above 1/5 of BS. More about breaking strength and safety factor
